Clippers keep Beal on two-year, $13.2 million deal with player option
Bradley Beal has agreed on a two-year, $13.2 million contract with a player option to remain with the Los Angeles Clippers.
Beal opted out of his previous deal after an injury-shortened season in which he played 6 of 82 games. The Clippers have since traded Kawhi Leonard.
Last season he was paid like the 242nd player and produced like the 420th, per WAGE, a 16 WAGE Score in the Under Water tier.
At $6.6 million a year, the new deal pays like the 213th player of last season, a rate that bought production around 303rd. The price is only a bargain if he plays.
If he clears that bar and opts out, the Clippers hold his early Bird rights, and the bigger bill arrives next summer.
