Knicks eye four-year, $200 million deal for Karl-Anthony Towns
The New York Knicks hope Karl-Anthony Towns will leave around $75 million on the table and are "far more" interested in a new four-year, $200 million contract, Bleacher Report's Jake Fischer reported Tuesday.
Last season Towns played 75 of the Knicks' 82 games and supplied 16% of their production.
In 2025-26 his salary was the 9th-highest in the league for the 7th-most production, per WAGE, a WAGE Score of 78 and Smart Money.
The longer case is his career WAGE Score of 76 across 11 rated seasons, value sustained at a star's pay.
A four-year deal would ask him to keep producing like a top-10 player; the discount lowers that bar rather than rescuing the contract.
