Knicks weigh McBride trade with $13 million deal expiring
The New York Knicks may be open to trading Miles McBride, who is entering the final year of the three-year, $13 million deal he signed in 2023.
McBride set career highs last season in points, made threes and three-point percentage (41.3%), playing 26.3 minutes a night for the champions. The roster now carries nine guards.
He was paid like the 265th player and produced like the 179th that season, per WAGE, for a WAGE Score of 61, Going Rate.
That output came in 41 of 82 games. McBride reaches unrestricted free agency next summer, where a market-rate salary would require that production over a full season.
A deadline trade would cash in the discount before it expires.
