Suns acquire Miles Bridges at $25 million off one breakout season

The Suns have acquired Miles Bridges, adding a player listed at a $25 million salary with the Charlotte Hornets.

The move fills a need on the roster ahead of the season. Where Bridges fits in the rotation is among the preseason questions raised by Duane Rankin of the Arizona Republic.

The case for the money rests on one season. Bridges went from a WAGE Score of 24 in 2024-25 to 75, Smart Money, in 2025-26, per WAGE.

That jump had him paid like the 69th player in the league last season and producing like the 35th, across 77 games with Charlotte.

The $25 million buys the 2025-26 version, not the one before it. Phoenix's preseason task is finding the rotation role that makes that season repeatable.
